Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU)'s Sungkyunkwan Graduate School of Business (SKK GSB) ranked 45th worldwide in the Financial Times (FT) Global MBA Ranking 2014. The SKK GSB's ranking is higher than that of Indiana University's Kelley School (47th), the University of Maryland's Smith School (50th) and the Imperial College Business School (49th). The SKK GSB was established in 2004 with the aim of delivering a world class MBA program in Korea.
The SKK GSB has jumped up 21 places in the rankings since its first participation in the FT evaluation in 2012, in which the School was ranked 66th. The rising ranking is due to the internationalization of the SKK GSB's MBA program. 20% of the FT evaluation for full-time MBA programs is allocated to the internationalization index of the program. Whereas many MBA programs in Korea and in other countries offer 2 to 3 weeks of field trips and internships, the SKK GSB offers dual MBA degrees in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management and Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. The SKK GSB also offers another special international program whereby students can earn a JD-MBA degree after completing a three year course at the Law School of Indiana University, and a year at the SKK GSB.
