Professor Jinsung Park of the Department of Biomechatronics received an appreciation plaque from the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent: Kwang-Soo Kim) in recognition of his contribution to nurturing young scientific talents in Jeju. Professor Park has been invited for three consecutive years as a special lecturer and research paper judge at the High School Convergence Conference and Research Presentation Symposium.

The High School Convergence Conference is an innovative convergence education program hosted and organized by the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education, in cooperation with Jeju National University College of Education, the Convergence Conference Promotion Committee, and the Science-Focused Schools Research Association. Each year, about 500 students from science and general high schools across Jeju participate to share their year-long research achievements, promote inter-school exchange, and foster future-oriented, interdisciplinary talents.

From 2023 to 2025, Professor Park participated as both a special lecturer and judge for the student research presentation competition. His lectures have inspired students to explore their academic interests and strengthen their self-directed research skills. His lecture topics over the three years included: “Bio and Environmental Sensors Using Nanomaterials” (2023), “Research—Should It Be Fun or Necessary?” (2024), “A Sensor Recipe with a Spoonful of Nanotechnology” (2025).

Through his annual lectures, Professor Park has shared the integrative vision of advanced nanotechnology and biosensor research, offering students practical guidance on how to transform scientific curiosity into meaningful research. As a judge, he has also evaluated student research papers and provided constructive feedback, helping to cultivate a research-centered school culture and strengthen the foundation for scientific talent development in Jeju.
