This marks the same position as last year, demonstrating SKKU’s strong standing as one of Asia’s leading universities amid the rapid advancement and fierce competition among top Asian institutions.

In fact, in the recently released THE World University Rankings, 20 Asian universities were listed within the global top 100, showing the growing influence of Asian higher education worldwide. In this context, SKKU’s ability to maintain its position among the top tier of Asian universities highlights the university’s continued excellence and resilience.

These indicators collectively assess a university’s overall competitiveness in terms of reputation, research performance, educational environment, and level of internationalization.

Despite the highly competitive landscape, SKKU continues to strengthen its research capacity through ongoing innovation, expanded international academic collaboration, and enhanced support for outstanding graduate students. The university also fosters global competency among its students through successful programs such as the International Summer Semester (ISS), student exchange programs with top global universities, and the WAVE remote exchange program, which utilizes online platforms for international learning.
Furthermore, SKKU recently achieved 87th place in the THE World University Rankings, continuing its streak of strong performances in globally recognized university rankings and reinforcing its status as a leading global institution.
