SKKU Recognized with Four Awardees at the 2025 Korea Talent Award

A total of four individuals from Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) were selected as awardees in the University and General Youth division of the "2025 Talent Award of Korea," proving the university's excellence in fostering talents who encompass both academic achievement and social contribution. Hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF), the "2025 Talent Award of Korea" selected 100 winners—40 high school students and 60 university students/adults—following rigorous regional and central evaluations. The award was established to discover and nurture future leaders who create new values based on creativity and passion while contributing to the development of the community.

The SKKU talents recognized this year continue to deliver meaningful results based on expertise and public spirit in their respective fields of study and activity. Student Sangho Kim of the Department of Software has contributed to solving social issues through research and practical activities that bridge academia and the public sector. Student Seungmin Kim of the Department of Pharmacy has consistently engaged in public contribution activities that connect academic achievements based on her major with social return. Graduate Student Jinhyung Lee of the Department of Mechanical Engineering has accumulated outcomes that integrate scholarship and practice by linking research results with on-site applications. Student Yunseo Heo of the Department of Sports Science has demonstrated her potential as a future talent in the field by pursuing both academic studies and professional activities concurrently.

This recognition is evaluated as an example demonstrating that, under the educational philosophy of “Su-Gi-Chi-In(修己治人)’ pursued by the University, SKKU has continuously nurtured talents who possess both academic competence and social responsibility. SKKU plans to continue producing talents who will lead the future of the nation and society through holistic talent cultivation that organically links education, research, and social contribution.
