The “2025 Advance Inclusion Benefit
Social Contribution Idea Contest” Successfully Concluded

SKKU AI Convergence and Open Sharing System(Director: Professor Jaehyun Kim)hosted the “2025 Advance Inclusion Benefit Social Contribution Idea Contest” from Monday, January 26, 2026, for three days and two nights at Hoam Hall, with the aim of discovering creative ideas that leverage artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to promote social inclusion and expand public value.
A total of 12 teams composed of undergraduate students from seven universities participating in the artificial intelligence consortium took part in the contest, presenting a wide range of AI-based ideas aimed at solving social issues. Rather than focusing on technical implementation, participants emphasized the social significance of their ideas and the concretization of their feasibility, exploring directions for practical and meaningful contributions.
In particular, on the first day of the contest, the 26th, a mentoring session was held with a group of professional mentors to help participants further develop their ideas. During this session, participants refined their concepts within a broader social context. Based on on-site feedback from the mentors, students reorganized their problem awareness, solution strategies, and expected outcomes, ultimately completing proposals of a higher level of sophistication.
Following the presentations, the panel of judges evaluated each team’s ideas based on creativity, feasibility, and social impact. This event was recognized not merely as a competition, but as a forum for exploring the potential of AI technologies in social contribution and for envisioning collaborative, inter-university educational models.
In his closing remarks, the Director of the SKKU AI Convergence and Open Sharing System stated, “This contest was a meaningful opportunity to focus on the intrinsic value of ideas rather than technical outcomes, and to collectively consider how AI can contribute to social inclusion and the public good. The passion and creativity demonstrated by the students will serve as a driving force in opening a sustainable future for our society.”
This contest is expected to serve as a foundation for presenting an integrated model of education and social contribution through artificial intelligence, and to support participating consortium universities in building a sustainable, AI-based social innovation network in the future.
