SKKU Holds Orientation for Exchange and Visiting Students for the Spring Semester of the 2026 Academic Year

The Office of International Relations (Vice President for International Affairs, Professor Minhyo Cho), in collaboration with its affiliated student organization Hi-Club, held an orientation on Thursday, February 26 at the Small Theater of the Business Building on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus for incoming exchange and visiting students for the Spring Semester of the 2026 academic year.

A total of 443 exchange and visiting students from 53 countries have joined SKKU this semester. During their stay, they will take a variety of courses, including major and general education courses as well as courses exclusively for exchange students, across the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus and the Natural Sciences Campus.

The orientation provided essential academic and campus life information, including an introduction to SKKU’s history, course registration procedures, visa and residency matters, and safety and security guidelines. This was followed by a campus tour session, during which students visited various locations on campus, including Sungkyunkwan and Myeongnyundang.

In particular, the event featured celebratory performances by SKKU student clubs. The traditional Korean music club “Daedongakhoe & Daseureum” presented Korean traditional melodies, while the dance club “Hwarokcheong” delivered a dynamic performance to warmly welcome the international students.

Meanwhile, students who wish to interact with exchange students may apply for the SG Maple (Exchange Student Buddy Program) to participate in various cultural exchange activities.
