The Academy of East Asian Studies held 'China Reform and Opening International Forum' 2018.10.31

From October 27th to 28th, The Academy of East Asian Studies held China Reform International Forum with the theme ‘Chinese Reform and Opening and the World’. This event was co-hosted by the China (Hinan) Reform and Development Research Center, the Bank of China, and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ).


The forum which was held in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening, many international organizations such as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), Friends of Europe and global think tank participated. 500 experts in 12 countries discussed theories of economic reform of each country and shared their experiences for the subject of '40 years of reform and opening: the impact of China's changes on the world', 'transformation of the economic structure and the Chinese economy', 'new trends and challenges of globalization of economy' and ‘belt and road and economic globalization/regional unification.’


China (Hainan) Reform and Development Research Center is the most important state-level think tank in the field of reform and development in China. In April 2017, Sungkyun China Research Institute of the Sungkyunkwan University signed an agreement on academic cooperation with this center and holds “21st century ocean silk road cooperation conference” every year.
