SKKU Institute of Robot Engineering and UCLA RoMeLa institute co-hosted a demonstrative session at the Natural Sciences Campus on May 17th.
More than 500 people waited to see the demonstration and lecture by Prof. Dennis HONG from UCLA. Many important figures in and out of school joined this session.
Vice-President Sungjin SONG gave a welcoming speech, “We thank many parents and students who visited SKKU today. I hope everyone enjoys watching robots and be inspired to dream about the future.”
Two robots had been demonstrated in this session: AiDIN VI (Artificial Digitigrade for Natural environment) and ALPHRED V2 (Autonomous Legged Personal Helper with Enhanced Dynamics). Both robots are able to walk biped and quad-ped and they will be used in the future cities. Gyeonggi-Do is planning to use these robots in the “Zero City”.
