The donation ceremony was held on October 18th at the President’s room in the 600th Anniversary Hall. Professor Yongho KIM promised to donate 1,400,000,000 KRW and professor Minah SEO promised to donate 700,000,000 KRW over the next 10 years. President Dong Ryeol SHIN and other important figures of the university joined the ceremony to express their gratitude toward the professors.
At the background of this donation was the technology transfer between SKKU and Imnewrun Biosciences Company. Two professors decided to use the profit from the transfer to make a donation to the university. Prof. KIM and SEO expressed, “We believe that the development of the university is due to the continuous effort of all members. We decided to make this donation to provide support to these efforts. We wish that SKKU will provide a better environment for students to study and research to produce greater success.”
