SKKU Released ExCampus Season 2
 –released 10 lectures on ‘future, science, humanities, self-development’ on YouTube

 – share knowledge and debate through the future educational platform

SKKU announced that the Student Success Center has released  the ExCampus Season 2 with 10 lectures on YouTube.

In ExCampus Season 2, 10 members of SKKU, including professors and alumni who are taking active parts in various fields, participated in the special lecture for about 30 minutes on “future, science, humanities, self-development”. It plans to provide subtitles in English and Chinese for international students later on.

ExCampus(Extended Campus) is a future educational platform that connects universities and societies. By inviting university members who are out in society as lecturers, it extends the field where people share knowledge and debate to outside of campus. ExCamus Season 1 was released last August and 11 SKKU professors conducted the lectures on “humanities, technology, and the future”. Lectures in Season 1 are also available on YouTube.

Professor Jong-Woo Oh (Dept. of Russian Language and Literature) who gave the lecture in Season 1, defined ExCampus’s Ex as an “enterprising prefix”. The words with ‘ex’ have meaning of going forwards beyond the current limit. He also described that ExCampus will lead us to the extensive future. It is the purpose of the project and to fulfill its aim, SKKU will continue to release new seasons.

Sang-Hoon Bae (director of Student Success Center) said that he plans to develop the ExCampus into a wide-ranging knowledge-sharing platform where prominent scholars from home and abroad. He also showed his ambition by saying that he will produce a Global ExCampus for the season 3 with overseas scholars and renowned figures.
