Sungkyunkwan University held a declaration ceremony of VISION 2030, “The Global Leader, SKKU”
- - “global leader who creates future social values through creative challenges and innovations”
- - make 30 departments to the top 20 in the world by 2030
On September 15 (Wed) at 2:00 p.m., Sungkyunkwan University held a declaration ceremony of VISION 2030 at the Humanities and Social Sciences campus. Due to COVID-19, the event was conducted with only a minimum of people attending and was broadcast live online on YouTube.
Sungkyunkwan University presented “a global leader who creates future social values through creative challenges and innovations” as a new 10-year VISION and declared that it plans to move towards becoming “The Global Leader, SKKU”. It also announced plans to make 30 department to the top 20 in the world by 2030 through the VISION2030.
Moreover, Sungkyunkwan University selected four goals to achieve their VISION; 1) innovation of university education, 2) research-oriented leading university, 3) win-win partnership, and 4) advancement of university brand. Furthermore, it plans to achieve each goal using global learning platform, research scale-up platform, win-win development platform, global brand platform.
Through their plan, it will foster global leader with creative intellectual insights, and self-directed problem-solving capabilities, create impactful intellectual values, create shared values and common good of cooperation and prosperity, and promote future-oriented cultural, institutional and ecosystem innovation.
President Dong-Ryeol Shin said “Sungkyunkwan University has been striving to declare VISION2020 and VISION2020+ over the past decade and leap into a global leading university, and has been achieved outstanding results in each field, including entering the TOP 100 in the world university rankings.
