Office of Information & Communications opens 

SK Telecom Ifland SKKU Metaverse Campus

The office of Information & Communications newly opened a space dedicated to our university in May on Ifland, the SK Telecom’s metaverse platform. In this metaverse space, you can not only hold various types of meetings, but also open a permanent land that is open 24 hours 365 days a year, such as departments, clubs, and labs to decorate the space as you like. The permanent land can be used as a unique space for departments, colleges, or clubs by replacing custom images.

Currently, Ifland can access PDFs, videos, and screen sharing by mobile, and plans to support PC versions, costume and map production tools, and NFT markets within this year.

Last August, SKKU held the World Sungkyunkwan Hangeul Writing Contest at Ifland Myeongnyundang, and at the end of October, a convergence of content creation and start-up idea tone was held in a space that embodies Marronnier Park in Daehak-ro, where representatives of representative content start-ups and participants met to share their concerns and advise.

Anyone can access and enjoy the metaverse space with Myeongnyundang, which symbolizes SKKU, and Marronnier Park as the background, and it is expected that the avatar costume will add to the enjoyment of Confucian uniforms and academic graduation uniforms of SKKU.

Ifland can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and can be used for free after running the app and registering as a member.
