ExCampus (Extended Campus) refers to an expanded future educational platform that connects the university and society through social participation of university members by broadening the field of knowledge sharing and free discussion beyond the campus.

On the first season of ExCampus, 11 professors of SKKU participated and conducted special lectures (approx. 30 mins per lecture) with the topic of ‘Look to the Future Through University’s Intelligence’. The English and Chinese subtitles will be provided for foreigners in the future.

The president Dong Ryeol Shin explained “ExCampus is the university’s vision and commitment to student success and creation of future value. It is the future vision of SKKU to provide a knowledge sharing platform where students can explore knowledge and participate in learning anytime and anywhere.”

Prof. Jongwoo Oh (Department of Russian Language and Literature) said, “Ex is an enterprising prefix. Words with an ‘ex’ mean going beyond the limit. Intelligence experiences and explores the world and expensively extends while expanding our world. ExCampus will open up a bigger future.”

Jeongwon Heo (Student, Majored in Convergence of Culture and Technology) said “After listening lecture by Professor Beonjun Kim (Department of Physics), I realized that physics can be easily accessed.

Chaerim Lee (Student, Fields of Arts and Science) said “I thought I should look at the world more widely and not focusing on my own majors only. ExCampus is a foundation for developing convergence skills and an opportunity to grow into a creative convergence talent.

Sanghoon Bae (Leader of Student Success Center) ambitiously announced that “We plan to expand our knowledge sharing platform where prominent domestic and international intellectuals participate. In Season 2, we plan to invite scholars from other universities and institutions. In Season 3, which will be held in the first half of 2021, we will expand the ExCampus by allowing international scholars to participate.”
