Published a Research Result on COVID-19
An alumnus of SKKU, department of biological sciences (Undergraduate 07, Master’s 12, Ph.D. 17), Dong-Hyuk Shin published a research result on COVID-19 in the journal 'Nature'.
Korean scientist, overseas residents in Germany, found a treatment that halts the replication of the COVID-19-causing SARS-CoV-2 virus as well as restores immune function.
Researcher Dong-Hyuk Shin and research team of Prof. Ivan Dikic in the Max-Planck Institute published their findings - compounds that halt enzymatic proteins involved in the reproduction of COVID-19 virus and it also restores the cells’ anti-virus immunity - in the international journal ‘Nature’.
Ph. D. Shin earned a doctorate from Sungkyunkwan University and has been working as a postdoctorate researcher at Max-Planck Institute since 2017.
