Sungkyunkwan University’s Research Team Verified the Effectiveness of CaronBio’s Hair Loss Prevention Hair Care Products

Study shows that the main ingredient of hair loss shampoo developed in Korea inducing the growth of hair follicle dermal papilla cells (HFDPC).

A research team led by Professor Seok-Ho Bang, School of Chemical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University (Jiyoo Hyun, Jisoo Lim, Sungwon Kim and Inwoo Seo), recently published a paper in the international journal, Pharmaceutics. According to the paper, the experimental sample contains high concentrations of chlorogenic acid and Umbelliferon. Chlorogenic acid is a type of polyphenol compound that inhibits cholesterol biosynthesis in vivo, antioxidants, and anticancer. Umpeliperone has antibacterial and inflammatory effects.

Treatment of the experimental samples used in the study to the HFDPC resulted in increased growth factor population due to activation of beta-catenin proteins. It also showed significant improvements in angiogenesis in the transportation of growth periods in HFDPC. In addition, it has been found that the proliferation of keratinocytes and the development of differentiation facilitates the transition from tissue to growth.

The research team explained, “The experimental samples in this study induce improved angiogenesis and enhance tube formation of endothelial cells. Additionally, as the proliferation of dead keratin cells, it promotes hair growth by inducing the transition from tissue to growth. The cause of hair loss varies from hormones, medication, and nutritional deficiency. Hair loss can be restored by hair follicle regeneration and is affected by dead keratin cells, fibrocyte and dermal papillae cells.

The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of the main ingredients of Carombio C3 Sampoo and Tonic has already been verified through invitro test by the Korea Insititute of Dermatological Sciences. In addition, in the safety clinical trial of the German Derma Test, it was rated the highest score (5 stars) and was verified its effectiveness of hair loss prevention.
