We are pleased to invite you to the “Living an Ethical Life” Talk Concert with Professor Peter Singer, Ira W. DeCamp Professor of Bioethics in the University Center for Human Values at Princeton University.
Professor Singer is one of the most prominent scholars in contemporary practical ethics. As the renowned author of『Animal Liberation』, he established the academic foundation for the discourse on animal rights and has had a profound impact on ethical debates worldwide.
Named one of the TIME magazine's “100 Most Influential People in the World” in 2005, he was also awarded the Berggruen Prize in 2021 — often referred to as the “Nobel Prize of Philosophy” — in recognition of his contributions to advancing human self-understanding and moral thought. Notably, he donated the full award amount to organizations dedicated to poverty alleviation and animal rights, earning recognition as a scholar who puts theory into practice.
This talk concert will explore various ethical issues faced by individuals and society, offering an in-depth discussion on what it means to live an ethical life and how it can be practiced.
