Notification about Change of VISA for Graduates (D-2 VISA holders)

Ⅰ. Soon-to-be  Graduate Intl. Students
Students who are planning to write thesis or enroll additional semester for 2018 fall must extend their D-2 VISA at the Immigration office. If one does not apply for VISA extension until August 31st, the university will report ‘end of study’ to Immigration office and D-2 VISA will be expired.

❏ Extention of Stay
◾ Graduate Students (To complete writing thesis)
  - Application Method
    ① Fill in Confirmation of Thesis Schedule from academic advising professor(Attachment 1)
    ② Signature from advising professor on the bottom part
    ③ Signature from Office of International Student Services
    ④ Make reservation at Immigration office (www.hikorea.go.kr)
    ⑤ Visit Immigration office and apply for Visa extension.
  - Required Documents 
   : Application Form, Passport, Alien Registration Card, Fee, Academic Credentials and Transcripts, Confirmation of Thesis Schedule from academic advising professor, Certificate of financial ability(700,000 won * the number of expected months)

◾ Undergraduate Students (Due to lack of credits for graduation)
 ※ VISA extension unavailable for other reasons (eg. Submission of TOPIK, TOEIC Score)
  - Application Method
    ① Fill in Confirmation of Additional Semester Enrollment (Attachment 2)
    ② Signature from One-stop service center on the bottom part
    ③ Signature from Office of International Student Services
    ④ Make reservation at Immigration office (www.hikorea.go.kr)
    ⑤ Visit Immigration office and apply for Visa extension.
  - Required Documents 
   : Application Form, Passport, Alien Registration Card, Fee, Academic Credentials and Transcripts, Letter of reason for attending additional semester confirmed by One-stop service center and Office of International student services, Certificate of financial ability(700,000 won * 6 months)

Ⅱ. Graduates
After university reports the completion of study at the immigration office, current D-2 visa holders must know that the visa expiration date is up to 2018. 9. 22(Sat) for all graduates.
