The Graduate School of China (GSC), under the direction of Dean Ho-Jae Lee) at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) established dual degree program with the School of Economics, under the direction of Dean Zhigang Yuan at Fudan University on April 2nd, following a visit by the SKKU side to Fudan University in Shanghai.
According to the agreement, students will take graduate courses in Sinology at SKKU for one year and a graduate program in Business Economics at Fudan University for another year. After the students successfully complete the special program, they will be awarded two degrees : SKKU's Master of Chinese Studies in Finance and Fudan's Master's degree in Specialized Finance (Chinese Economy).
Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) has recently expanded its collaboration with Australian universities. On a visit to Australia in April, Vice President of International Affairs Suke Kyu Lee oversaw the signing of a student exchange agreement with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Adelaide. The two agreements are a significant step in expanding SKKU's collaboration with Australian universities and are expected to lead to greater research and educational collaboration.
SKKU entered into student exchange agreements with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode and Leuphana University in Germany. IIM Kozhikode is one of India's top business schools and is located in the historic city of Kozhikode and was a major center for the spice trade during classical antiquity and the Middle Ages. It is now considered one of India's most livable cities. Leuphana University has undergone rapid advances since it was designated as Germany's first university foundation under public law in 2007, and is now one of the most popular universities in Germany among high school students.
