"The center of China and Asia's future economy – Experience of New Silk Road"
"Self-examination through the learning of Chinese history, culture, and nature"

SKKU's Graduate School of China successfully finished its '2016 Graduate School of China 一帶一路 Long March' event, held from Oct 20th to Oct 26th.

This event is a 4-year long-term project which was designed to provide opportunities for students to experience the New Silk Road, in order to cultivate broad minds and to have an introspective time by walking the road in China, while learning about Chinese culture, history, and life. Since this year was first of the new project, students walked 650 km from 西安 to 天水 out of the planned distance of 2,600 km.

Students who participated in the event said, "It was a pretty tough schedule with 50 km of walking, even in rainy weather, and 800 km travel by bus. However, through the program every participant developed a spirit to meet challenges and cooperate with each other."

一帶一路 Long March participants went through several fun experiences such as a trying out the local lifestyle at a farm and visiting a Samsung Electronics semiconductor factory and start-up support center.

Students and professors hoped to join the 2017 march (630 km, 蘭州~張掖) again and promised to meet at the homecoming event in 10 years.
