Rector of RWTH Aachen University Visits SKKU

Dr. Ernst SCHMACHTENBERG, Rector of RWTH Aachen University (Germany), visited SKKU on Oct 26th (Thurs) to make university-wide academic/student exchange agreements and develop bilateral collaborations between the two universities.

At the meeting, President CHUNG Kyu-sang, Vice-President YOO Ji-beom, Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. LEE Jun-young, and Vice Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. YOO Chung-sik participated and developed practical discussions on research activities. In particular, they shared the present research conditions of the Dream2Lab2Fab Joint Research Center established at RWTH Aachen University at the end of 2016 and developed possible exchanges in the field of Big Data and AI.

The Business schools in SKKU and RWTH Aachen made an exchange agreement for their academic/student exchanges in 2013, while both universities' colleges of engineering signed an MOU for student exchanges.

From this meeting, the bilateral ties between the two universities are expected to strengthen further.
