Students at the Dept. of Dance Present Dance Performances for Korea-China Cultural Festival

A student team at the Dept. of Dance at SKKU performed at the Korea-China Cultural Festival and Korea-China Friendship Week Cultural Performances held in Harbin and Lanzhou, China from July 1st to July 7th. Korean performers did Korean dance, taekwondo, Bongsan Talchum, and a non-verbal performance (Nanta) and there were also performances by Chinese participants.

The event was hosted by the Korean Cultural Center and the Korean Embassy in China and was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korean Culture and Arts Committee, and the Korea Foundation for the Promotion of Traditional Performing Arts.

Through the deep exchange of their traditional cultures, Korea and China are expanding artistic activities and contributing to the development of art and their friendship. The student dance team is composed of graduate students and undergraduate students at Sungkyunkwan University. In addition to this performance, they have performed at the various Korea-China cultural shows, including ones at Beijing and Guju.
