SKKU School of Medicine was ranked 41st in the world and number one in Korea in the field of Clinical, Pre-Clinical & Health for 2019 in the recently published "THE Rankings by Subject".
THE World University Rankings are being conducted by Times Higher Education, a global university evaluation institution in the UK. THE is recognized for its global authority and influence. They evaluate competitiveness indexes in the fields of education, research, research citations, and internationalization, and announce the top 500 rankings.
SKKU School of Medicine established its great reputation through its dedication and strong impact of research papers published throughout the year. This is the first time it has been ranked first in Korea. Eight Asian universities were ranked in the top 50 in the world. The National University of Singapore ranked highest in 26th place, followed by the University of Hong Kong (29th), and the University of Tokyo (34th).
"It was remarkable to finally be ranked in the top 50 medical schools in the world, which has been our long-term goal by the year 2020. We will make constant endeavors to provide motivation for high-quality research and student-oriented education," said Dean Yoon Ho CHOE.
