SKKU Copes with COVID-19 Pandemic by Using Online Lecture Infrastructure

"Sungkyunkwan University has dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic by using an online lecture infrastructure.

Due to the possibility of an outbreak of COVID-19 occurring at the university, SKKU has decided to open online courses until the pandemic dies down.

SKKU began online lectures on the I-Campus, the platform which SKKU has already been using for online courses. The lectures are provided in real-time streaming format or conventional video format. The lecturers can choose whichever format they would like to use. SKKU is also providing requisite programs in any format the lecturer has chosen as well as equipment such as webcams, microphones, and tablet PCs.

"Online lectures will be a safer and smoother way for students to study. Our top priority is ensuring our students' safety; thus we will devote all of our energy to it," said SKKU President Dong Ryeol SHIN.
