The ministry of Science and ICT announced that Sungkyunkwan University was selected as ICT Talent Nurturing Universities. The university will be supported for a maximum of 10 years (4 years + 3 years + 3 years) and the funding is 3 billion KRW per year (1 billion KRW in the first year).
This project aims to cultivate core talents through innovation in education and research courses in graduate schools in response to changes in the information and communication technology (ICT) environment. Approximately 230 graduate students from 9 universities will participate each year.
For this project, SKKU will research technologies for expanding the connection between machines and people (building a brain-neural implantable computer interface, etc.) bring society into the future. To this end, the project will consist of humanities, medical, and engineering convergence courses as well as team teaching.
