SKKU Ranks 1st on Pre-selection Results of BK21 Phase IV Among Private Universities

- 31 Educational Research Institutes/Teams (28 Institutes, 3 Teams) were selected

The BK21 Phase IV project will be conducted for 7 years starting from September 2020. It provides funding for graduate students and personnel expenses for workforces so that future scholars can focus on their studies and research. A total of 2.9 trillion KRW (409 billion KRW a year) will be spent.

For SKKU, 20 educational institutes/teams from the nurturing future talents project and 11 educational institutes/teams from the nurturing innovative talents project were selected. SKKU will also receive additional funding to innovate in the graduate school since more than five educational research institutes/teams have been selected.

An SKKU official said, "We can secure the most talented educational research institutes/teams by providing substantial support to young researchers with potential to be global leaders. Through the BK21 Phase IV project, we will provide deeper support to create great research results and nurture global-leading researchers."
