Prof. Chung and Prof. Kim are awarded the Prime Minister's Commendation at 2021 Science, Information and Communication Day.

Prof. Chung received the PM's commendation in the national research and development performance evaluation sector for his work such as the technology transfer and start-up of research results derived from carrying out the national researchand development projects.

"Without other researchers help, this would have not been possible. I would like to enjoy the honor and excitement of this award with all the researcher who have been working together, and thank the research institute and university for providing excellent environment, so that we could concentrate on the research," said Prof. Chung.

Prof. Kim received the PM's commendation in the science and technology promotion sector for her contribution to successfully implement the "Meta Energy Harvesting System," a unique convergence research technology that created synergy between meta materials and energy harvesting technology and help securea leading international position in the field.

"I think the PM's commendation is a generous award for me. I believe that they gave me the award to encourage me to work harder. I will do my best to contribute not only to the science and technology community but also to the society. In addition, I personally feel very meaningful and grateful because it is thefirst award I won since I was appointed to Sungkyunkwan University," says Prof. Kim.
