SKKU Convergence Institute for Culture, Arts, and Media Holds a Virtual International Conference

SKKU Convergence Institute for Culture, Arts, and Media, Global Convergence Content Research Center (GCCRC) and Media, Culture and Contents Research Center hosted the first Virtual International Conference with theme "New Media Technologies and Social Impact: Creative Solutions for Community Well-being and Values" on May 7 (Friday).

This conference consists of five sessions such as (1) social media and democracy, (2) media and culture in the digital age, (3) new media technologies and content, (4) social media and emotion, and (5) new media technologies and social impact. Many professors and graduate students from prestigious universities all over the world participated in this conference.

Scholars from University of Pennsylvania, University of California Davis Campus, University of Loyola, Marist College, Fudan University, Akita International University, National Political University of Taiwan, Nanyang University, CIT University of Philippines, University of Vienna, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and UN University, etc. participated, opened an academic debate and shared meaningful ideas in the field of media technologies and social impact.

This year's conference was held online (YouTube) according to social distancing rules caused by the spread of COVID-19.
