교무처(조준모 인사캠 부총장)와 경제학과 BK21 교육연구단 류두진 교수가 개최하는 “2022 SKKU International Conference: Trends in Digital Economy and Finance”에서 해외명문대 교수진과 금융 현업 저명인사의 기조연설 및 특별강연(Keynote and Tutorial Sessions)이 5월 13일 금요일 오전 8시부터 시작된다.

우리 대학의 “학부/대학원 교육의 세계화”의 일환으로 진행되는 이번 특별강연은 Finance 및 Financial Economics 분야의 최신 주제를 학부생과 MBA학생도 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 소개할 예정이다.

오전 8시에 김성현 경제대학장의 축사로 시작하는 첫 세션에서는 Journal of Banking & Finance(SSCI)의 편집장인 Geert Bekaert 美컬럼비아 경영대학원 교수가 “Emerging markets in a globalizing world”를, MarketPsych(Refinitiv, 舊 Thomson-Reuters)의 CEO이자 정신과 의사(M.D.)인 Richard Peterson 박사가 “Developing an AI system for forecasting stock prices”를, Robert Webb 美버지니아대 연구석좌교수가 “The nexus between cash and futures markets”를, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money(SSCI)의 편집장 Jonathan Batten 교수가 “Foreign exchange price manipulation”를, UVA McIntire School of Commerce의 Robert Parham 교수는 “Is news really news? The effects of selective disclosure regulations”에 대하여 강연한다.

이어지는 점심 및 오후 세션에서는 세계 최대 학술 Journal 출판사인 Elsevier의 Anders Karlsson 부회장(vice president)이 “Digital economy and finance: The big picture around research trends”를, 국내 최초로 인공지능(AI) 상장지수펀드(ETF)를 뉴욕증권거래소(NYSE)에 상장한 Qraft社의 Francis Oh 홍콩법인장이 “The future of AI in asset management”를, Journal of Futures Markets(SSCI)의 편집장 Bart Frijns 교수가 “Cultural diversity among directors and corporate social responsibility”를, 영국 University of Stirling의 David McMillan 교수가 “The predictive power of the oil variance risk premium”를 발표한다.
