The Sungkyun Economic Research Institute (SERI Director: Doo-jin Ryu) at Sungkyunkwan University, in collaboration with the Department of Economics' BK21 Four Education and Research Group (Director: Professor Sung-hyun Kim, Dean of the College of Economics), the Institute of Applied Statistics (Director: Professor Chan-min Kim, Department of Statistics), and the ICT Innovation Talent 4.0 Project Group (Director: Professor Eun-il Park, Department of AI Convergence) and SKKU Global Finance Research Center (Director: Doo-jin Ryu), will host the "2024 SERI International Conference" on July 12 (Friday) at 8:30 AM in the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus.

Since 2018, SERI Director Doo-jin Ryu has led the Finance International Academic and International Research Collaboration Project at Sungkyunkwan University. This project has collaborated with internationally renowned SSCI journals and prestigious institutions, successfully inviting Nobel laureates in economics (Myron Scholes, Robert Merton, Robert Engle), appointing SSCI journal editors as faculty, hosting large international academic conferences, and conducting joint education and research with top global universities.

This year's conference, the 10th edition, will feature lectures and paper presentations by editors of internationally renowned SSCI journals in Finance/Economics and professors from prestigious overseas universities. Keynote speakers include Professor Peter Szilagyi (Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, SSCI, IF=4) from EDHEC Business School, Professor Jonathan Batten (Co-Editor of Finance Research Letters, SSCI, IF=10.4), and Professor Robert Webb (Research Professor at UVA McIntire School of Commerce). Additional lectures will be given by Professor Sandy Suardi (University of Wollongong), whose work has been cited in Senate hearings, Professor Jens Müller-Merbach (Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences), an expert in European financial markets, and Rayn Moon, CEO of Newsy Stock. Approximately 60 academic and policy research papers will be presented.

Papers presented at this conference will have the opportunity to be published in the internationally renowned SSCI journal, Investment Analysts Journal, of which Professor Doo-jin Ryu is an editor, published by Taylor & Francis.
