SKKU's International Summer Semester (ISS) with the theme "Global Synergy: Innovating through Collaboration", successfully ended on July 20th. The program started on June 27th and about 1500 students from 31 countries and 65 universities participated.
SKKU opened fifty courses which enabled students to receive up to six major or international language credits. Also, various extra-curricular activities were provided such as a tour of SKKU's old campus, Global Forum, Korean Food Festival, Hanbok Experience, Nanta Performance, Folk Village Tour, Tae Kwon Do Performance, and more. Through these programs, students from SKKU and other universities had opportunities to cultivate global senses by interacting with each other, discussing global issues, and sharing their opinions.
With the longest history in Asia, customized curriculum with recent global issues, and outstanding faculties from various regions, the program drew many students' attention and SKKU is seeing a rapid increase in the number of students registering each year. SKKU's International Summer Semester became one of the most prominent summer programs not just in Korea, but in East Asia.
