A donation ceremony of books regarding French Laws from Prof. Yamaguchi (Tokyo University) was successfully held at SKKU's School of Law on Sep 19th (Mon). Current professors from Tokyo University including Prof. Masahiko Iwamura and Prof. Omura Atsushi participated in the event and raised expectations of activate exchanges between two law schools in the future.
The donation is considered very meaningful since the interest in French Civil Law is increasing, but there is not enough literature regarding it.
Emeritus Prof. Yamaguchi was born in 1928. After graduating university, he studied in Paris for 10 years and came back to Japan in 1963. Working for Tokyo University from 1972, he taught French Law until 1998. He published various books including French Law Volume 1 (1978), French Law Volume 2 (2004), and French Law of Obligations (1986).
