On November 7th, Presidents of Swedish Universities, leaders of The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Science (IVA), and leaders of the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) visited Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU). This group included presidents from 10 Swedish universities. Participants discussed ways to expand effective exchanges between Swedish universities and SKKU.
Brazil's Science without Borders (SwB) program for Korea was launched on SKKU's Seoul campus in September in the presence of the Ambassador of Brazil, H.E. Edmundo Fujita and 91 Brazilian students who will be studying at SKKU and other Korean universities.
On November 4th, SKKU signed a new MOU and Student Exchange Agreement with Nanjing University. SKKU and Nanjing University have collaborated closely in the area of software research and the College of Information and Communications Engineering has opened a Winter School at Nanjing University with seminars in IT.
On December 27th SKKU also established a formal relationship with Hokkaido University to exchange 5 students per year and expand the partnership in to diverse areas in the future.
On December 3rd, the SKKU School of Pharmacy signed a MOU with University of Southern California (USC) School of Pharmacy in the education and research fields.
