SUNGKYUNKWAN UNIVERSITY (SKKU), SEOUL, KOREA
SKKU Law School and Vietnam Court Academy signed an MOU for academic cooperation on May 28th. President Kyu Sang Chung of SKKU and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Vietnam Dao Thi Xuan Lan oversaw the signing of the agreements. The MOU is expected to be a groundwork of the two universities for research activities and mutual cooperation in the field of law and the legal system.
"This is a very good opportunity to understand and develop the law and the legal systems of the two countries. From this MOU, detailed cooperation plans such as holding regular forums will be developed further," said President Chung.
Chief justice Dao Thi Xuan Lan also mentioned, "Through this agreement, I expect to see more strong mutual cooperation with Korean legal professions and hope to see the development of Vietnam's law and legal system."
The Court Academy was established last July under the Vietnam Supreme People's Court in order to give training for legal officials and to educate law school students.
