- What is your most memorable experience at SKKU, Korea?
Through staying in Korea, I have managed to experience a variety of activities here as well. One in particular is taking part in SKKU's video competition to promote the university, and the main targets were the International Students. Given my experience in making YouTube videos, I won the competition. I started making YouTube videos after I came to Korea. I wish to document my life in Korea so that I could share it with my friends and family. The video that got the most views so far is the video where I introduce the Korean students in SKKU to the unique tradition of how the Czechs celebrate Easter.
One of my hobbies is orienteering. Orienteering is a fun sport which requires the orienteers to find points around a landscape using only an accurate, detailed map and a compass. I participated in an orienteering race in September 2017 in Gangneung. I chose the second toughest course category and aced it. I was the only foreigner there and when I won, the other Koreans cheered along with me.

What motivates you to study at SKKU, Korea?
I wanted to study in Asia since I'm attracted to the culture and mostly the differences among western culture. I thought Korea would be a great place to start because it welcomes you in a way that the transition isn't as harsh as other Asian countries. Since I am Mexican, I noticed this country also involves collectivism thinking and a fun way to approach life. I thought Korea would be great and would make me feel welcome, and SKKU's Buddies program was very helpful for me to get accustomed to staying in Korea.
