Once again, SKKU ranked no. 1 of all Korean comprehensive universities in the 2014 Joongang Daily university evaluations. Released on Oct. 1, this year's rankings place SKKU in the top spot for the second year in a row.
SKKU is joined in the top 5 by Korea University, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and Hanyang University, while Joongang University, Kyung Hee University, Seogang University, Dongguk University, and Ewha Womans University round up the top ten list for comprehensive universities.
This year's Joongang Daily’s university evaluations assessed 95 universities along 32 indicators in the areas of Research (100 points), Education Setting (90 points), Reputation (60 points), and Internationalization (50 points), making up a total of 300 points.
The evaluation covers all Korean universities including research-intensive universities. Only the highly specialized research universities POSTECH and KAIST bested SKKU in this year's rankings.
