Rental Conditions
- Students (including graduate students) who want to use the services must be registered for the current semester

- Laptop computers that are equipped with a wireless LAN card are available for rent

Rental Period and Use
- The rental period is limited to 150 hours per semester for each person and rental devices must be used only for education/research/academic purposes

* Laptop rental/return services are closed during for lunch (12:00 ~ 1:00 PM).

Rental fee
- All rentals are free of charge. However, if a loaned device is lost or damaged, the person who has checked out the device must pay for the total cost necessary for its restoration.
Application Method
Students who wish to borrow a laptop must sign in to GLS, make a reservation through the Information Square IT Service, present an ID (both Student ID Card and Resident Registration Card) to the Information Communications Division, and fill out a loan service agreement form. When borrowing a device, students must check and verify if there is anything wrong with it for themselves because they are responsible for any consequences of their negligence.
Reservation Cancellation
Rental reservations must be cancelled through the website before borrowing a device. If one fails to do so, a violation of reservation will be regarded as a delay in return.

Delay in Return
Penalties will be given according to the number of delayed returns as specified below.

Responsibility for Data
The Information Communications Division has no obligation to preserve any personal data left on a returned device, and the person who borrowed the device is responsible for the loss of such data.
Software Rentals
The office of Information & Communications Division signs a collective purchase contract for the software needed throughout the school, manages and rents them. The software rented by the office of Information & Communications Division is only available for administrative, academic and research purposes and prohibits the use of personal purposes (use outside the campus, commercial research). The guidelines for each software must be complied with in order to eradicate the illegal use of software.

Antivirus Software(V3)

On-campus security softwares are distributed under the name ‘PC Integrated Security’ including antivirus software, and the configuration is as follows:
- Antivirus Software : PC protection from malware.
- Patch management : Apply updates/patch for OS and major software
- Personal information management : Search and encrypt/delete personal information on PC
- Check for vulnerabilities(My PC guard) : Measure and improve PC security levels

* For assembled PCs, OS upgrade and MS Office rental are possible only when the user has an OS genuine license.

SAS SW products (Contract period : April ~ March of the next year)
- SAS is available to use both on site and outside of the campus.(Except for some institutions such as research institutes). When the rental period expires, ‘Setinit’ file must be replaced after the contract renewal.

SPSS SW products (Contract period : August ~ July of the next year)
- SPSS is available to use both on site and outside of the campus. [But, not allowed for commercial use (Hospital)]
- We renew a total of 300 copies of this program and can be used on a yearly basis. If you want to use it again after the contract renewal, the license code should be replaced. Please submit the application to the office of Information and Communications and only authorized users are allowed to use this program after reviewing the application. One copy can only be used for one professor’s laboratory and not allowed to be used in research institutes.

- SW can only be installed on campus and the rental period is 1 night and 2 days.
