The Korea Academy Librarian Education the renowned educational institution for librarians involving the best scholars in the Department of Library and Information Science.
The academy was selected by the Ministry of Education to open a professional training center for librarians in 1965. The curriculum has changed over the decades to better serve the changes to environment in library ICT systems such as information search, information management and automatic library.
The academy has produced over 8,500 graduates, most of whom are now working as professional librarians in major libraries around Korea, contributing to the development of the Korean library system. It is continuously striving to become the hub of educating competent librarians specialized in ICT.
