Completion of Sungkyunkwan University-Samsung Electro-Mechanics material field R&D Collaboration Program Kick-off Workshop and MOU Signing

• -Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Sungkyunkwan University to initiate material field R&D collaboration program starting from June 2023

The kick-off workshop for the Sungkyunkwan University-Samsung Electro-Materials R&D collaboration program and the MOU signing ceremony was held on Tuesday, June 20th, at the auditorium at Samsung Library on the Natural Sciences Campus.

The event was attended by Jaeboong Choi, Vice President of the Natural Sciences Campus, Hyung-kyun Cho, Head of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Professor Yoon-seok Kim, and Professor Cheol-woong Yang. From Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Vice Presidents Si-woo Lee, Jae-yeol Choi, and Hae-seok Jung were in attendance. The event proceeded in the order of the kick-off workshop for the Sungkyunkwan University-Samsung Electro-Mechanics Materials R&D collaboration program, followed by the MOU signing ceremony.

Our university and Samsung Electro-Mechanics have agreed to operate a material field R&D collaboration program and have signed an MOU to jointly utilize the outstanding research personnel from both institutions. Specifically, we will collaborate on various programs, including △conducting industry-academia research through industry-academia projects △appointing industry-academia collaborative professors from former Samsung Electro-Mechanics executives △conducting cooperative education for Samsung Electro-Mechanics employees and academic researchers △selecting and supporting industry-academia scholarship students △conducting seminars on the latest research trends, and more.
