On 2012 October 25 (Thu), Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) Law School (Dean Ki Sik Sonn) and American University (AU) Law School, Washington College of Law (Dean Claudio Grossman) in the United States Washington D.C. held a MOU signing ceremony.
In accordance with the MOU, SKKU Law School and AU Law School (WCL) formulated things like exchange of student/faculty and co-hosting scholarship conferences. Regarding student exchange, each school agreed to send two students per one semester. Also in case that a SKKU student earns certain credits at WCL, the student can earn Master of Law (LLM) approved by American Bar Association (ABA). In commemoration of the MOU signing ceremony, SKKU students and faculties opened a new chapter for practical exchange by visiting WCL, hosting international scholarship conference, etc.
Claudio Grossman, Dean of WCL, is a great scholar in the field of International Human Rights Laws and a Chair of United Nations Committee Against Torture (UN CAT). He developed WCL as a top level US Law School in International Law and Clinical Training. WCL was ranked number 6 in International Law and 2 in Clinical Training at the Law School Rankings of US News & World Report.
