Korea, China and Japan scholars come together to find ways in eastern philosophy for varying cultures to coexist while respecting each others differences.

Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) Institute of Confucian Philosophy & Culture announced on August 2, that they will be holding the 6th Korea, China, Japan joint international conference on ‘Multi-cultural society coexistence and eastern philosophy’ with China’s Shandong University ‘Philosophy and Social Development Institute’ and Japan’s East Japan International University ‘Eastern Philosophy & Culture Institute’ at the 600th Anniversary Building on August 7.

As the barriers between nations gradually fade away, people of different cultures and experiences mix and develop the world into a multi-cultural society, but with that, the conflict, discrimination and strife due to cultural differences also slowly rises.

Through the conference scholars share that the key point is how mankind can recognize each others differences and plan coexistence and peace, and wish to find the answer in easter philosophy that emphasizes harmony and confluence.

At the conference a total of 11 scholars , 4 Chinese, 4 Japanese and 3 Korean are expected to make a presentation.
