The QS (Quac-Quarelli Symonds) assessed rankings based on the performances of 3,800 universities around the world. SKKU demonstrated a huge improvement placing 106th, 12 places higher than the previous year.
Four universities – Seoul National University (35th), KAIST (46th), POSTECH (83th), and Korea University (98th) –made the top 100. While SKKU (106th), Yonsei University (112th), and Hanyang University (171th), were ranked within the top 200.
Universities in the USA and UK were placed mostly in the top 10; MIT (1st), Stanford University (2nd), Harvard (3rd), University of Cambridge (4th), Caltech (5th).
