SKKU ranked 8th in Asia’s Most Innovative Universities by Reuters based on the quality and impact of research and patents. 5 universities in Korea: KAIST, Seoul National University, POSTEC, SKKU, and Yonsei University, as well as 5 universities in Japan, made up to top 10. Reuters explained that, “Universities in Korea and Japan overwhelmed in patent applications and it has helped the two countries to became hot spots in innovation.”
