2022 World Customs Organiztion-SKKU 

hold developing country customs government employees scholarship program


On April 4th,SKKU had the opening ceremony of the “World Customs Organization-SKKUscholarship program for developing country customs government officials” at the600th-anniversary hall. Korea Customs’ WCO cooperation fund supports theprogram to provide training for WCO member countries (Asia, Africa,Middle-East, Europe, Central, and South America) customs officers on analyzingdata in Customs and border management.


The opening ceremony started with a congratulatory speech from SKKU President Shin Dong Ryeol, WCO Capacity Building Director Gang Tae Il, program director Professor Chai Jong Seo (College of Information and Communications Engineering), and program operation director Professor Cheon Bi Ho (College of Engineering).



SKKU Collegeof Information and Communications Engineering, College of Engineering (SystemManagement Engineering department), College of Software, SKK GSB professors will teach Python, Machine learning, Application-Regression, Cluster, NetworkAnalysis, and Classification for the next four months. Furthermore, with the cooperation of Korea Customs Headquarter, Incheon Regional customs, and Busan Regional customs, the school plans on field trips to introduce case studies of Korean Customs. Before this, in January-February the shcool have used the open education platform ex-Campus for classes such as introduction to big data analysis, basics of machine learning, AI, and data science to enhance the digital capacity of the participants.
