BK21 Project Group Holds Global AI Finance Research Conference in Singapore

- Co-host with NUS, 120 fintech scholars from around the world

SKKU BK21 Global Fintech Human Resources Development Research Center (Director Kyo Jik Song), in collaboration with the National University of Singapore, is holding the ‘2022 Global AI Finance Research Conference’ at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore and the NUS campus for 2 days from December 12.


This conference, which has become the best international conference in the field of fintech, attracts about 120 scholars from around the world, and the latest research in 34 fintech fields with high competition rates will be presented. In addition, presentations and tutorials by experts in the financial field will also be held.


This year’s keynote address will be given by Prof. Dacheng Xiu (University of Chicago) and Prof. Sudheer Chava (Georgia Tech), and will be presented under the themes of ‘NLP in finance’ and ‘The statistical limit of arbitrage’.


Meanwhile, 20 master’s and doctorate students majoring in fintech convergence in SKKU plan to conduct short-term overseas research for 3 nights and 4 days, including participation in conferences and visits to financial institutions in Singapore.


Director Song said, “Following the successful hosting of the conference in 2020, we are holding a conference in the field of high-quality fintech research this year. It will provide a great opportunity to discuss interesting topics, especially in digital finance research.”
