Skaichips, AI combined wireless charging system developed

Domestic semiconductor system corporation Skaichips developed wireless charging system combined with AI. It is a technology where electronic devices can be freely charged in a particular space with Internet of Things sensor.

Skaichips which was established last year developed wireless charge transmission/receiving chip from its own technology. When the wireless charge beam is shot from the transmitter, electronic device with the receiving chip will receive the beam so that charging can be possible in any particular place. Original transmitter could transfer the beams up to 2m, but this device could reach the beams up to 5m. It is also possible to operate multiple frequencies using its patents in response to complex frequency environments.

Especially, this system’s biggest advantage is that AI technology was introduced into the original wireless charging method. The transmitter learns to recognize the electronic device in advance and then it can detect the device in the space, send the charging beam intensively.

Not only does it minimize the threat to the body as charging beam is less likely to reach humans, it also manages to control electric power well.

Skaichips foresaw this system would be useful in Internet of Things market. Especially in an environment where multiple sensors are installed in a particular space to detect movements of people and other things, this will help to manage all the sensor batteries that are difficult to manage one by one through wireless charging system.

Skaichips CEO Lee Kang Yoon (College of Information&Communication Engineering Prof.) said with confidence, “Due to the low battery capacity, it should start with quick charge sensor battery and AI speaker charging system.” “In the future, wireless charging system will be used for smartphones, drones, robots etc. all the IT devices that have batteries.”

Skaichips is the only domestic company that develops wireless charging system. The company made a new prototype this third quarter and will notify other IT device manufacturers of the prototype’s features. Next year, action will be taken with a proactive policy of the product, and commercialization and IP sale.

CEO Lee Kang Yoon explained, “We shall in the future develop technology where charging beams are accurately delivered to moving IT devices.”
