U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Christopher Del Corso

Visit SKKU to hold a Townhall meeting with Students 

On March 29th, after the Myeongnyundang tour listened to the students’ opinions about the Korea-U.S. economic, political, and cultural cooperation.


On Tuesday, March 29th afternoon, U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Christopher Del Corso visited the SKKU Humanities and Social Sciences Campus to hold a Townhall meeting.

This visit was to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the Korea-U.S. diplomatic relations establishment, sharing the exchange status of Korea-U.S. and listening to students’ opinions to maintain the amicable relationship between the two countries.


U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Christopher Del Corso visited Myeongnyundang and was informed about the long history and tradition of SKKU. Then at Business Hall Live Studio, he met the students to exchange ideas about Korea-U.S. economic, political, and cultural cooperation. The Townhall meeting was both online and offline, with students joining.


Christopher Del Corso is a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister-Counselor. He assumed his position as Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at U.S. Embassy in Seoul on July 16, 2021. Prior to this posting, Mr. Del Corso served in Washington, DC, as the Executive Director for the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs; before that was the Minister Counselor for Management Affairs and acting Deputy Chief of Mission at U.S. Embassy Seoul.
