SKKU (President Dong Ryeol Shin) signed MOU with Shinsegae I&C (CEO Jeong-hyun Son) to foster next-generation talent through industry-university cooperation in the education sector.

Officials, including SKKU president Dong Ryeol Shin, and Shinsegae I&C CEO Jeong-hyun Son attended the business agreement ceremony to promote ‘education-industry cooperation’ with Shinsegae I&C at the 600th Anniversary Hall.

SKKU and Shinsegae I&C will develop and operate professional education content based on social education needs to foster professional talent and job training in new industries. The goal is to contribute to strengthening practical skills and job competitiveness through various educational programs that encompass not only job-seeking students but also corporate executives and employees.

The AI/SW education program consists of highly reliable content after verification by advisory faculty in related fields. The strategy is to organize a program that meets both the educational needs of students and companies by narrowing the distance between academic theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge.

In the second half of the year, a leadership training course for key corporate talents will also be operated. It deals with management strategy, marketing, business simulations, and core competencies of leaders based on theory, cases, and practice. This education program was directly developed by the College of Business and SKKU Extension School and is conducted through offline lectures by full-time SKKU professors and field experts in related fields.

President Shin said, “Through cooperation with Shinsegae I&C, we have prepared a platform where we can effectively provide reskill and upskill education suitable for new industry demands. We hope that it will become a cooperative relationship that can benefit both schools and corporate society by providing excellent educational content.”

Mr. Son said, “In collaboration with SKKU, it is possible to provide educational programs that combine proven academic expertise and practical competitiveness. I hope that Shinsegae I&C’s educational service will be a good solution for schools and companies that need employment competitiveness, jobs, and capacity-enhancing education.”
